Meet the Lehrters! I had the delightful pleasure of photographing this family a little bit ago. They were so much fun to hang out with! We did our photos at Golden Petal Farms. Too early for the sunflowers, but we made use of the big fields and the barn :)
You may be noticing that Adam has a small toy in his hands--that is my lens monkey! He comes with me on some of my photo shoots, mostly the ones where I know I will be working with children. He is designed like a scrunchie and stretches around my lens. Adam was keeping him safe for me for a while ;)
The three girls--One of my favs!
So Adam was not really interested in staying still for photos for very long. It was still my job to get some good photos of him smiling, so I tried one my tricks......
I told Adam a secret--that I wanted him to tackle his Dad and try to tickle him! I told him not to go until I said "3," which ensured that I was ready with my camera. This interaction generated some great smiles--nailed it!
(Yes, Dad was ready for it and knew what was coming for him!)
I am not above bribery when it comes to photo shoots with children--i always have presents for the kids at the end of the session. The presents today included little jars of bubbles--which also gave some great photos!
And then while the kids are SO done with the camera and are busy with their presents, I take some time with Mom and Dad to get some cute couple pictures :)
Love you guys! <3
