Wedding!: Jen and David

Whoo!  I had the great privilege of photographing a friend's wedding this year.  My dear friend Jennifer got married to an awesome dude named David.  Believe me, they are completely adorable together, as you'll see in these photos...…. :)

Jen and I have known each other for years.  We go to the same church, I taught her son in Band for 3 years (Jen--we made it through middle school!), I have take care of her pets a number of times, and she was my realtor as I looked for and successfully purchased my first house!  I was honored that she asked me to photographer her and David's special day.

This sign is so perfect for Jen and David.  So perfect.

Jen and her dogs.... :)

One of my absolute favorites--all the pictures behind him are of his and Jen's children.  So precious <3

So this First Look was supposed to be outside.  But literally 5 minutes after I got in my car to drive to their house, it started pouring outside.  Mother Nature--what did I ever do to you?

Jen's son Ben (who I had the privilege of teaching Band for 3 years!  *sigh*)
Work it, David!

So, Jen and David both have Jeeps.  David really wanted to take his hard-core awesome Jeep, but it was a little high for Jen to get in with her dress :P

The other Jeep is still pretty awesome!

David being funny during Family Formals....

So not only was it my friend getting married, but the ceremony was held at our church!  Believe it or not--it was my first time ever photographing a wedding in an actual church.  *gasp*
If you ever feel so inclined, come to Good Samaritan Presbyterian Church in Waldorf on Sunday morning--we'd love to have you!

There was a Celtic theme to this wedding, which you can see in the flower bouquets and David's wedding band.

Waiting for the ceremony to start......David's daughter, Megan.  Apparently, while wedding planning it was difficult to keep the "Megans" straight.  There was Jen's Megan (me) and David's Megan (pictured).  It worked!

Kids and their phones.....

I really love the facial expressions on David and Ben's faces.
This.  This right here is why I was excited to photograph in my own church :)

You can never have too much whiskey!

So cute, right?

Oh man, does Jen know how to work a camera!  She is such a beauty.

<3

The reception was held at a local restaurant called Port Tobacco Restaurant at the Port Tobacco Marina. If you haven't been yet--you need to go.  Beautiful outdoor dining and good food!

Scott-Megan's husband.  I see you looking at me.

Jen and David - absolutely.

New siblings :)  And they were all so great with me as the photographer.  All are so blessed to be brought together as family.

Okay, this set of 4 pictures needed to be included to give you an idea of just how awesome these people are.  The jokes were non-stop and love (sometimes communicated through sarcasm-my favorite!) was overflowing :)

There cake was so delicious!  Plus another addition to the Celtic theme.

Another shot of true love, right here :)

Congratulations Jen and David!
