Becca and Angel - Married!

Guys - it's been a crazy time.  But I recently had the GREAT pleasure of photographing my first wedding since COVID came into our lives!

Meet Becca and Angel!

They tied the knot on May 29 at a church the Becca used to be the pastor at.  The whole weekend had forecasted rain and we were on the fence about going inside until the very morning of the wedding.  Praise God - we got enough of a break in the rain to have the ceremony and family photos outside ๐Ÿ˜Š

The Kittamaqundi Church in Columbia Maryland - absolutely gorgeous venue!

We a did a spontaneous first look with Becca and Angel - we never planned it, but it was fun to try and get Angel's reaction in the mirror.

They had a Mariachi Band for the wedding music - How cool is that??

Angel has lots of brother - this wasn't even all of them.  They were all great sports and loved cheesing at the camera for me.

I loved Becca's fashion-forward dress with a cape! She was accompanied by her brother and mother down the aisle.

The church has a newly installed meditation labyrinth.  There is a specific path you have to follow to make it to the middle.  The path is not straight and it's not a spiral either.  It goes back and forth, which made the bride and groom almost meet each other and then quickly turn the other direction.

Angel got to the middle first.....

And then Becca joined him!

A full view of the labyrinth almost everyone that was there.

At this point in the service there was a laying on of hands and the opportunity for people to pray out loud for the married couple.  The love was felt all around.

The emotions after that first kiss as a married couple are the most precious of the day.

And, of course, some black and whites to finish......

Old Town Alexandria Portraits - with THE most adorable puppy

Hello!

Meet Katie and Dustin and their adorable dog, Penny.  We took advantage of the warmer weather we had in November to take some photos so they could use them for their Christmas card.  And seriously, there is no more picture-perfect location than Old Town Alexandria.  I have photographed here a bunch of times, its always beautiful.

Whenever I photograph in Old Town, I make time for photos on the cobblestone street.  We did have to dodge around cars and other people taking photos.  It's a popular spot.

Another Old Town favorite - using the brick alleyways.  The rustic bricks adds a charm you don't see elsewhere.

Once we photographed in the town area, we walked a bit over to a nearby park with a sea wall of rocks that create a perfect place to sit with the water in the background.

Dogs just make like better.
And if you haven't noticed yet, Penny has three legs, which just makes her even cuter!  This was my first time meeting her, and I thought that our walks would be slow to accommodate her loss of limb.  Boy was I wrong!

Penny stood in this spot for so long, it created a great opportunity  for some cute photos.

Dustin is from Washington state, so we had to get some photos in their Seahawks jerseys - even Penny!

๐ŸŽ„Merry Christmas!๐ŸŽ„

James Family Photos - Again!

Meet the James Family!  Or re-meet them, as I have posted photos of them before.  If you want to see their photos from before click here: James Family Photos.  We even did photos in the same place this time.  If you haven't been to Chapman State Park in Indian Head MD, I highly recommend you check it out.  We had a great time smiling, running, jumping, and lots of hugs and kisses!

Meet Ethan, Melissa, Oliver, Luke, and Liam.

Squeezing always makes for a cute photo.

Once we got picture of everyone together, each son took a turn with each parent.  The fall leaves were a beautiful background!

Luke makes THE best face ever!!
(he smiled, too, but I really love this photo)

Like I said - great faces ๐Ÿ˜„

This was my first time meeting Oliver.  Boy oh boy does he know how to pose for my camera!

Superhero pose!

Boys love to run, so why not photograph them while they run right at me? ๐Ÿ˜†

It's also good to get some pics of just Mom and Dad.  Don't worry, the boys weren't far away.

Can't do a blog post without at least ONE black and white - so sweet.๐Ÿ’—

I also got individual pics of each boy.  Some while they were running.....

Some while they were posing......

And some while they were sticking their tongues out!

Remember when I said boys love to run?  Well they also love to climb.....and JUMP!

Family photos are always and adventure!
๐Ÿ’œAnd I love it every time๐Ÿ’œ
